Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra and Keri-Lynn Wilson: Beethoven's Ninth

Marking the day after the third anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine, the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra – drawing together refugee musicians and Ukrainian members of leading European orchestras – comes together with Ukrainian soloists and conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson to perform a work synonymous with the ideals of freedom and brotherhood: Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. For this very special concert, filmed in the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw, Friedrich Schiller’s words in the finale, “Ode to Joy”, are sung in Ukrainian.
