Position Details

  • Job Title: Peripatetic Woodwind Teacher

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Salary: £35.80 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

  • Contract Type: Part-time, hourly

  • Pension: Eligible for Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS)

  • Location: Watford Grammar School for Boys, Clarendon Muse

Role Summary

  • Join a team of 17 experienced peripatetic tutors

  • Teaching mainly clarinet and saxophone

  • Approx. 2.5 hours/week to start, plus additional Year 7 students (TBC)

  • Oboe or bassoon teaching skills desirable

  • 22 well-equipped practice rooms; flexible schedule and day preference available

  • Potential for expanded hours if teaching a second instrument
